Famous joint by Francis Ford Coppola with great service, great food, and great atmosphere. I really dig the chill music that that plays in the background. I got the house red wine pitcher and it's quite smooth! Very enjoyable. I also got the pork ribs and FCC's spaghetti and meatballs, everything tastes incredible!

Nicely lit, interestingly angular interior situated in a landmark building. Carefully prepared dishes, impeccable service, fine wine. What more could you ask for? Distinct and separate from other noisy and trendy-without-substance restaurants in the North Beach area. One visit will send you wishing they were in your neighborhood when you got back home!

Well I'm not gonna say it's a great value, but we did enjoy our visit. We got the roasted pork ribs and, although there were just 3 on the plate, they were awesome. (We wolfed 2 before we remembered to take pics.) The carbonara spaghetti was also delicious, just small for $22. You have to get the bread basket! Lastly, we got mochas and loved the cubes of sugar and the little cookie. Overall it was a charming little place w good service and food. My wife says it's a 4 but it's my review and I give it a 5. =)

Reservations for any more than 3 needed. The menu was large but printing was small. The meat and cheese plate was well done as were the meatballs in the spaghetti.**Go for the Gnocchi and have the dark chocolate mouse.

Cafe Zoetrope is a must visit for excellent Italian cuisine and movie lover. Cinema's iconic director Francis Ford Coppola's restaurant produces Academy Award note worthy fare.Our sons school is adjacent to this historic bistro and we have sampled both dinner and lunch flavorful dining in a Coppola "film museum".The salads, Naples style pizza is wonderful, pasta and desserts are exceptional. The boost the "home to the original Caesars salad from 1924!On our afternoon lunch we shared a Cobb salad and a tomato basil pizza. Our server Jacob was professional and friendly!

Any film fan will die over this one. It has all sorts of Francis Ford Coppola memorabilia along with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The movie posters are awesome too. To pair all of the great foods are all of the Coppola wines. The Chardonnay is the best, all 3.

Just had some wine, and considering it was Coppola and in the city, price was reasonable and wine was delicious.

This is a lovely little restaurant that is big on character and flavour. Great local gin menu and delicious Italian style food served up by friendly staff. Highly recommended if you are in San Francisco
